This is due to a bug in Writer along with an unexpected change on Blogger's side. It will definitely be fixed with the next release of Writer, if not sooner by a patch on the server side. In the meantime, sorry for the inconvenience!!

Sorry that we have not replied to your problem sooner.
Usually this indicates an issue with the Blogger service. Are you able to log in to your blog through the Blogger web site? Has this problem been persistent?

I wasn't the original poster, but I am having the exact same issue. An internet search indicated this may be an issue with editing a post that isn't one of the last 25 posted, which could be the problem in my case. A quick test showed that posting worked for a new post, however I have a number of pages that are updated regularly, and, while Live Writer can open them, it cannot post an updated page.
Using Live Writer to "create" the post, and then copying the HTML code back into Blogger produces very odd results making that solution worthless. Huge areas of blank space appear for no apparent reason, and with no way to remove them! (Note: they can be removed in "compose" mode, but reappear as soon as you post. The pages I am dealing with all have tables (copied from Excel), so it may be the issue with Blogger, though I'm not sure how that would effect the inability to post from within Live Writer.
