Windows Server Domain Name Management service will not start, Dynamic DNS will not update

Howdy!
Just a preface - this all started when I tried to manipulate certs in IIS for my own personal domain, and not use *.homeserver.com. I'm trying to get it back to the way it was upon initial setup, so that I can get RDP access without getting the cert mismatch error.
1. When trying to "Repair Remote Web Access", I receive these errors: a) "Thre is an error in your Remote Desktop Services settings" - with a "contact product support" link to "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=168989" and then quickly redirects to a generic Microsoft product support site for windows 8. b) "Dynamic DNS cannot be updated" - "An error occured while updating the dynamic DNS information that you gave your domain name service provider. Please try again later. If this problem continues, contact your domain name service provider for support" - with a link that sends me straight to GoDaddy, though no account I have allows me to update that dyndns for the homeserver subdomain. I do not know for the life of me where to manipulate/change the login for my dynamic DNS account, as it is not properly updating at this time. The last time it updated, was in July of 2011.
2. All proper ports (80, 443, 4125) are port forwarded from the router to the server.
3. From the Alert Viewer on the Dashboard, I see "One or more services are not running: Windows Server Domain Name Management" When attempting to manually start this service from "Services", I receive "Windows could not start the Windows Server Domain Management service on Local Computer" Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start control request in a timely fashion.
I did not install live mesh like here, windows live sign-in assistant is installed and up to date: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/whs2011/thread/fa78ca69-8278-49fe-8996-6b9aaa53c058
Its is not my CMOS battery like here: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/whsvailbeta/thread/6c56b7f2-3135-4f20-8905-3a2c308e0407
The Default Website in IIS has been re-binded back to the correct cert. Both 443 and 65515 resolve with the homeserver provided SSL.
I'm out of ideas. Any assistance or ideas are greatly appreciated! I will pay you handsomely in internet points.
EDIT: Say I changed my Live account password around the time this stopped working, where would I manipulate the new login password?Thursday, April 11, 2013 7:28 PM

To answer your last question first, you would open the dashboard and set up remote access again, I believe (I haven't done this for a couple of years, though).
As for the original issue, the simplest way to get everything working again is to restore a server backup from a time before you tried to manipulate the certificates. If you don't have a backup, you could try reinstalling. I understand that this is probably not what you want to be doing, but what you did in the first place is unsupported, and depending on what specifically you changed, when, and in what order you attempted configuration changes, there are a goodly number of ways things could now be messed up, so it may well be less trouble all around to just reinstall.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
