How to configure telephony option for multiple users? RRS feed

  • Hi,


    Does anybody know if it's possible to configure the telephony option in OCS 2007 (e.g. PC-to-PC, RCC or Enterprise Voice) on multiple users at the same time? In the GUI for Office Communications Server 2007, it's possible to select multiple users and configure options like Federation and Remote Access, but I cannot find where to select multiple users for configuration of telephony mode.


    Any ideas?

    You have a couple options here.  A scripted approach:



    Or the OCS PowerPack for PowerGUI:



    The second option is more limited, as I believe you can only Enable/Disable Enterprise Voice on OCS user accounts, where as the first option allows you to control the exact attribute value for whatever setting is desired.

    I took a peek at both solutions, and neither was too easy to understand for someone that's not into this kind of scripting against OCS and AD. I will take a better look into it tomorrow, and I believe I could make it work with some testing and sweating.


    It's a pity this isn't a built-in feature, when it's possible to to modify other attributes for multiple users at the same time, such as enabling/disabling Federation and Public IM Connectivity.
