  You can download the MS CRM VPC from here
  http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/details.aspx?FamilyID=dd939ed9-87a5-4c13-b212-a922cc02b469&displaylang=en
  
  Install VPC 2007 and use the above VHD file. VPC are the best for the development environment. offcourse you can run VPC 2007 on your laptop if your laptop is of good specs.
