I want to restore a back up made on my former compter that used XP to my new computer using Windows 7. Unfortunately when I try to restore the remaing 8.3 GB left to restore it tells me that the restore can't continue as there is not enough free space left on drive(s) D:\4.6gb.
If the D:\ drive is an OEM recovery partition you should not restore files there. If the D:\ drive is a partition you created you can go into Disc Management and expand the partition. Probably the best option would be to perform a custom restore, restore all the files to a folder on your C:\ drive then drag and drop the files to where you want them to be.
