Dont want to create userID/Password for home computer - why do I have to?

  I don't want to create userID/Password for home computer - why do I have to? I was more or less "forced" to do it on my new Windows 8 pc.  I like the old way of choosing whether or not I want to do that.  I am the only one the house and don't want another userID/password to keep up with!

  Please explain the reason behind this process.
