  • Question

  • I set up an account 3 weeks ago. First I had problems making the account status active, which was resolved after an email to supoort.

    Then I i problems setting up geo-targetting. Again, I sent emails to support and was told its not entirely possible and was given a work around. I settled for that but my ads have yet to gat a single impression , let alone clicks.

    After that I have had more than 2 people assuring me everything will be ok in 24 hrs or 72 hrs etc and emails sent back asking me to do changes in the set up etc. I tried all that and waited, and waited and waited.........

    Still NOT A SINGLE IMPRESSION!!!!!

    Finally I have now asked them to close my account and refund me all the money.

    Thats the experience I have had.

    Any official Microsoft guys around to explain?

    I'm sorry you are having a negative experience with adCenter. Without knowing the details of your situation I'm unable to explain why you weren't seeing impressions -- I agree that is frustrating. If you email us at blogadcr @ microsoft.com and tell us your account #, we can take a look into your specific situation to help find out what's been going on, find an explanation, and help to resolve it. Also please include any support ticket numbers so that we can follow up with the Support team.

     

    I hope you'll contact us so we can look into this further, as we want our customers to be happy with adCenter.

    Thanks for all your efforts. It seems to working now.

    A few more questions though:
    The data shown in Adcentre does not seem to be LIVE. Is it? If not, how long does it take to update, at what intervals?
    Any way to make this work more efficiently in my geo location. I don't want to target the world, just my city or country.

  • Hi Mahesh,

    I’m glad it’s working for you now. Regarding your questions:

    • Performance data in the adCenter UI is aggregated/updated at midnight PST (daily).
    • With Geo targeting you can still target your  country UAE, but not city using the metro targeting because this can only be used for the markets we are live in (US, CA, UK, FR, SG).
