I'm moving my WHS setup from V1 to V2 and have just built the basics (just a single drive) on the bench of V2 to get familiar and do some setup. I installed a Technet image via USB, it does a reboot, install network drivers and a reboot, it asks for
a server name (SERVER2) and a password, then the 'setup' where it takes up to 30 minutes, and then I'm at the desktop. This all seems normal.
The first time from here I installed a bunch of Windows updates and after the reboot I had the login issue where 'Administrator' is hard filled in and there is the password box. It won't take the password I gave it (alpha-numeric plus an exclamaition).
I did a complete reinstall just now and I decided to reboot before installing Windows updates, but I'm having the same issue.
I've done some searching but can't tell what I'm doing wrong here. Any ideas?
