Office Picture Manager in Office Home and Student 2007

Question
-
Hello - was successful in installing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. with Office Home and Student 2007. It also is bundled with Office Picture Manager. When I try to enter the product key, it states the product key is invalid and I can't use the picture manager. Please advise, thanks!

ayoda,
Copy and paste as instructed into this thread. 15 Digits of the product key is okay. Some are blocked to protect your key. Paste as-is, the full text as directed above in the Diag Instructions.

ayoda,
In order to receive the best support, we request all users to initially run the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool. This will try and identify the individual issue you may be experiencing. Please provide a brief synopsis describing your customer scenario, including any dialogue, error messages, or codes. These can be found in the lower left hand corner of most Genuine Advantage Web pages when an error is encountered.
By clicking the link below, you will download the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool. Then click the Run button. Then click the Run button again. Then click the Continue button to perform the diagnostic. The Windows tab should show, click the Copy button to paste your report to the clipboard. Then paste the report into a New Post on this Forum by adding a post in it and pressing Ctrl V (to paste the text). Clicking the OK button will clear the Diagnostic window. Here is the download link:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012
Step 2: Tell us about the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) for your copy of Windows.
1. What edition/version of Windows XP is titled? Home, Pro, or Media Center?
2. Does it read "OEM Software" or "OEM Product" in black lettering?
3. Or, does it have the computer manufacturer's name in black lettering?
4. Please provide the customer scenario you are experiencing.
5. DO NOT post the Product Key.
Not sure what to look for, see this page to reference your COA:
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/howtotell/en/coa.mspx
NOTE: The data collected with the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool does NOT contain any information that can personally identify you. The information can be fully reviewed, by you, before being posted.
Thank you for your participation here on the Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) program forums. We look forward to working with you.

Thanks for the reply. Here's what I've done so far.
The machine came pre-loaded from Dell with Windows Vista Home Basic.
I loaded Office Home and Student 2007. Word / Excel / PowerPoint work fine.
When I clicked on "view photos using Office Picture Manager," it asks for the product key.
Upon entering the product key, it replies "key not valid" and drops me out of the Picture Manager program.
I later loaded Windows Vista Home Premium upgrade, with no problems (much better than Home Basic, by the way). Checking the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic tool, my Home Premium checks out.
Again, the issue is with Office Picture Manager - for whatever reason, that's the one program that I can't get to work.
Please advise, thanks!Friday, September 19, 2008 6:21 AM -
One more note - when I click on the tab that says "Office" on the Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool, it states "104 Unknown PID." Is this also significant? Thanks!Friday, September 19, 2008 6:43 AM

ayoda,
Please re-run the Mirosoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool and copy and past the results as indicated in the instructions above. Make sure they are the complete results.

OK, I've went ahead and run the Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool, but it does post 60 percent of the product key. Do you also need that information? Is it OK to post that information?
Thanks!
