any way to remove old stock prices?

Question
-
I was wondering if there is any way to remove daily stock prices from positions I once held. As an example, I owned inco for 10 years before it was bought out and I have 10 years of stock price data for this company. The stock price data for these old positions is not useful. Is there a simple way to remove this info?
thanks,

In this thread, hleOfxQuotes says he can use his program Sunriise to remove today's quotes. I don't know if the capability to do what you are asking exists in Sunriise.
I expect you were looking for some kind of easy quotes trim feature inside Money. Below is the easiest way within Money, but it is on a per-investment basis. I just tested this out:
=============deleting quote data for a past investment in Money Plus and others:==========
One way would be to first make sure there is a checkmark (tick) on
Portfolio->ChangePortfolioView->ShowClosedPositions.Find the investment that you want to delete quote info from, and
right-click. Choose InvestmentDetails. In the left column, choose DeleteThisInvestment. In Money Plus (or
other versions, this will not Delete transactions from the
accounts. However when I undelete the investment, I see the
transactions are all still there. The price history is empty. To
undelete (optional) a deleted investment, start to make a dividend transaction
until Money asks if you want to reuse it. It says "Click Yes to add
the investment back to your list of investments." If you click Yes,
the price history is still gone. Then you may want to then un-check
Portfolio->ChangePortfolioView->ShowClosedPositions.

It's a bit labor intensive but if you go to Price History and then Update Price, you can delete any entry you like. Unfortunately, you can do only one at a time.Friday, March 17, 2017 2:20 AM

If you use this process, it would be interesting to see if it actually reduces the size of your Money .mny file. Make a note of the file size before and after you delete the stock prices and let us know the change that you see.

I ran 'clear historical prices older than 60 months ('more' feature under Portfolio Manager). Made no difference to my file size. It also appeared to impact 'net worth' history calculations so reverted. Best 'house keeping' was to delete all my old budgets and to start afresh. File size did change much but overall, speed and reliability was improved. I'm running a (hi spec) twelve year old PC so speed probably not a problem for the latest.
