  The MCITP course is widely available and quite inexpensive in most

  countries. I did the course and passed some exam a long time ago but I

  don't think it has done anything for my skills or sales. Opinions vary

  as to its value.

  Visual Studio 2008 certifications and information on what certification may be best for you can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/visual-studio-all.aspx#tab3

  Please note:  All Visual Studio 2008 (.Net 3.5) exams expire on July 31, 2013.  Given this, you may want to look into some of the other developer certifications available http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/visual-studio-all.aspx
