    i'm keep getting this error id:0020-80070643

     

    I got som trojan horses, installed trojan hunter, installed kasperski, removed all trojans and viruses, uninstalled all the programs, used disk clean up, used live one care installation tools, but no luck so far.

     

    I have the installation dvd as well, still getting the same error id

     

    need help so bad...... pleas help me asap.

    The 0020 error indicates the antivirus component of One Care failed to install. Some possible causes are that there are remnants of other antivirus or antispyware programs on your computer, you are still infected or the malware or the removal of the malware has damaged some system files. I would try an online scan - http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm then run the One Care install cleanup tool. Then I would try a selective startup - Start>Run> type "msconfig" without the quotes in the Run box. Open the Services tab, check the box on the bottom of the tab that says"Hide all Microsoft services", then uncheck the boxes next to all services. Select Apply, OK and restart your computer. Try to install One Care. If the installation succeeds open msconfig again and on the General tab select "Normal Startup", Apply, OK and restart your computer.
