Look Up Record Custom

Question
-
Hi again.
Just a quick question i am hoping someone can help me with. For a case i am looking for a way to add a case location look up option.
Is there a way to edit and create a new look up record. For example it already has Account > Account lookup View and then lists all active accounts. However i wanted to make one that says Location > Location Lookup View and then list all of the possible locations.
I could just use a subject tree, however that will list all of the other subject trees and looks a bit odd. I'm sure there is a way to do this, however can't seem to find it. Thank you for any help.

Hi,
You can use a custom entity as you suggest and create the neccessary N:1 realtionsship for Location. Therefore if you then need to reference a lookup on that entity from within a dialog, you need to select the 'reference entity' Case (Incident) which is the entity which you are running the dialog from. This will then provide you with the available 'reference fields' ie Location in your example
hope that helps

Hi Cutterchoice,
Just to confirm a few things. Is Location a custom entity that you are referencing to? If I correctly understood your requirement, you need to have a lookup of that custom entity Location on your Case form?
If both my understanding are correct as above, you can proceed to create a new N:1 (N Cases : 1 Location) relationship and you should have the lookup as desired.

Hello!
the behaviour of subject entity is completely different then system and custom entities
if you need the look feel like entity you can custom it by adding creating entity and maaping to but you dnt option of changing subject entity.
