Workflow paused due to unexpected error

Question
-
we have a workflow that sends an email, on demand from a quote so long as its status is Active. Intermittantly, it goes into waiting due to the always enjoyable Soap Exception that the server was unable to process the request.
The problem could be data because some will succeed if I pause then resume. Others never succeed even after several resumptions.
How does one find out what is really going on? Trace?
Or, even better, is there a known item to check regarding the creation of emails?

Are you in CRM4 or 2011?
In CRM4 you can use the server traces from the async process. In CRM 2011 you have the "Details" section in the system job form where you can see more detailed error messages.

Hi,
Open workflow system job and check if it contains any exception in the message section.

I don't know what the problem is. I haven't traced anything. PS- the messages on the System Jobs is pretty much what is stated in the title of this thread.Monday, June 27, 2011 9:25 PM
