    Are there any detailed instructions on how to replace and restore from backup a machine that had a hard drive failure. I need to remove the old subscription and make this machine the restore of the old pc.

  • I'll add that the question about removing the subscription is answered as follows -

    This is optional. Once you have installed OneCare on the new drive after installing Windows, and then activated with your existing subscription LiveID, you can make that PC a hub and then remove the old entry for the PC, if it shows up in your Circle with a different name, from the details entry for that PC under your OneCare Circle.
