Money Plus Sunset in Windows 10 - file upgrade prompt RRS feed

  • Question

  • Another Windows 10/Money question, I'm afraid!

I've successfully applied the registry fix to get past the error relating to IE versions. However, when I now try to open my Money file, I'm prompted to "convert it so that it will work with Money". If I then try to run through this, I get an error advising that the file can't be opened as it was created in a different version of Money. It was working without issues on Window 8.1, with the same Money file and same version of Money.

Can anyone suggest a fix here? The option to repair the file doesn't identify any issues with it. Thanks in advance!

  • Ah, I've got this sorted now. My file is from a UK localised version of Money, but for some reason Windows was running Sunset (US localised) rather than UK 2005. I think I'd previously installed Sunset ages ago and run into a similar issue, though could have sworn that I'd removed it!

Regardless, I've downloaded and installed Money 2005 UK and my file is opening just fine.
