ATMFD.DLL Failed to load RRS feed

  • Question

  • After rebooting WHS, I'm getting an error when I RDP into it, indicating a service or driver failed to load.  Checking the event log, the only thing I find is this ATMFD.DLL.

A quick google leads me to understand that this is a font driver?

Any ideas why it's failing or what I can do to correct it?

    Please try:

    1. Rename ATMFD.DLL in folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\ top ATMFD.BAK
    2. COPY ATMFD.DLL from C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache folder to C:\WINDOWS\system32\
    3. Reboot

  • Hi,

    It sounds unusual!
You could check that it is available on your system; it should be in C:\WINDOWS\system32, and should be version 5.1.2.226 from Adobe Systems. (From what I recall, this is the current version across all versions of Windows, so could be copied across).
