  • Exams set to retire on July 31, 2013 of the ones you listed are as follows: 70-643, 70-647.  So far the exams 70-640, 70-642, and 70-680 have not been scheduled for retirement yet.

Be kind and Mark as Answer if I helped.

  • I would suggest not going for the EA anymore as two of the exams you need are being retired. So you would have to pass the 643 and 647 before July when they are retired.

I would suggest just going the MCSA Server 2008 route, then upgrading to the MSCE Server 2008 if you want. MCSA is 640, 642 and 646. Once you have that you can upgrade to server 2012 with the 417 exam. Once there you have your MCSA Server 2012 which is upgradable to MSCE Server 2012.

If you are dead set on your MCITP or if a company is requiring it that you are working for by all means get it. I've read most of those books (haven't passed all exams) and it's great material and very useful, but if we are talking about making you more marketable and want to move your certification path to align with what Microsoft is doing, you should forget the MCITP and get your MCSA.
