  • I have seen both of these as well. I don't know what causes the first, but I believe the second happens when the OP deletes the thread after you Click reply, but before you hit Submit.

  • There is more to it some times a reply does not appear for more then half hour and some times a single reply can be seen multiple time by the difference of a few seconds or minute.

  • I've been facing this error as well (today a few times). I'm using Google Chrome. When I'm getting this error, usually I know, that I have to copy the text I typed in the clipboard, exit the thread, re-enter and re-submit. Once I got the error, clicking Submit button again will result in the same error with blank alert message.

  • We'll take a look at this, check on our boxes to see if there was/is some issue going on. We'll double check to ensure we don't have some bad box in production or something.

  • I believe this error is often a result of two users trying to do some action with the thread in the same time.

It could be a reason, but showing same blank box 3-5 times ( 5 minutes back ) consecutively in the same thread can not be a coincidence.

  • Did you re-enter that thread or were pressing the Submit button again?

Copy the answer , refreshed the page , pasted the answer back again and then press the submit button (2 times ) after that just kept pressing the submit button on 2nd or 3rd click it submitted.

  • I found that after the first error appeared, hitting submit button will always result in the same error. It's a bit weird you got the error twice in a row, but once you get the error, get out of the thread and re-try. In my case I believe I almost always succeed.

And if the refresh does not work as with me just keep pressing the submit button, is the easiest solution.

  • There shouldn't be errors. And if there are errors they shouldn't be 'blank'. We'll have to look into it.

  • Yes, I've seen this error from time to time also. I'm pretty sure it happens when two users try to apply some action to the thread at the same time.

  • Yes, this is still happening... And it's being quite easy to get these blank error messages latelly... If you open the reply box and don't click on submit in, let's say, one minute, most of the times it gives this blank error message...

I also noticed that when I post code blocks it's 95% chance of getting this error...

It's getting frustating... It would be nice to have this issue solved asap... =(

BTW, look how funny this is getting:

  • BTW, I got a few of such errors today. When I get such errors, the usual remedy is to copy the text of the new message to clipboard, exit from the thread, re-enter and re-try.
