Why is Sync Framework 2010 still in CTP stage? RRS feed

  • Question

  • This year is 2012... and we see that Sync Framework 4.0 is in CTP stage for a very long time.

Why is this? has Microsoft abandoned active development on this framework?

What used to be v4 CTP has been released as the Sync Framework Toolkit last year.

  • Visual Studio 2012 is now released and the "Local Database Cache" project type is missing and I am not able to port my VS2010 projects. Also, SQL Server 2012 no longer installs the Sync Framework.

I suggest that you start a new thread. many people who answer question  don't read the ones which are already answered and unfortunately this thread has already marked as answered by me.
