Still have reduced functions after being confirmed as genuine

Question
-
I seem to be having a problem with playing videos still after I got my genuine validation updated and working. I presume the black filter on all video files is related to the reduced vista functions.
After the reboot everything seemed to be working again except my ability to play video.
Is there any fix for this? Apreciate some help.
