Use of virtual datatype field in crm 2011 RRS feed

  • Hello All,

    Can anyone help me knowing use of virtual data type fields in crm 2011. In MSDN it has mentioned that these fields not used in crm records. Does it require for crm internal use? can anyone please confirm?

  • Are aren't able to create new attributes with a virtual data type. In most cases these attributes do things like associate the friendly name with a GUID value or the text value with the numeric value of an option set field.

  • The 'Virtual' attributes are not physically stored in the database. Instead, they are derived when retrieving data, as per the examples given by Jason in the previous post
