Using the Facial alignment as a worker register? RRS feed

  • Question

  • For instance two workers come into a factory, take a picture of both, have the alignments of both workers faces already stored in a database,  check attendance in database of that worker if its a match, Are the size of the individual features stored in the demo? what do you think? Do you feel this would work? Thanks.

  • Caut,

Your scenario is similar to face matching/recognition. This version of Face SDK does not support this feature, however you can implement your own matching algorithm based on the existing SDK.

Whether the system works or not largely depends on your system settings, e.g. whether the light condition is controled, whether the person should look at the camera at specific direction. In a word, if the image quality (especially the face part) is good and stable, then the system probably could work.

With good face images, you then can detect face, extract features, and do face matching. You can refere to this site for some kind of popular algorithms for face recognition.
