Lost communication to server after installing new router... RRS feed

    We lost our router and modem after a lightning strike last week... replaced the modem (Motorola SB5100) and replaced the old LinkSys router with a Belkin N300.  We now have internet access on all computers in our home network, and VOIP phones are working... however, cannot access the home server... server IP addy shows up on the router's list of DHCP client list, but I cannot ping the server, and am unable to access it from any computer on the home network (also cannot access it remotely from the web)... I'm not an I.T. person, so this is pretty overwhelming to me... any help would be appreciated...

    Did your Server previously have a fixed IP address? If so, is that in the same subnet as the DHCP server in your new router provides to your network? Can you post the IP addresses of your Clients and Server. Check the lights on your Server network card to ensure that  was not damaged at the same time (I know you say it shows up on the router DHCP list).
