Crm3 with vista server unavailable RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

    I have:

    Windows Server 2003 Standard SP2
    Crm3.0 on a SQL server 2000
XP machines (Outlook 2003 w/ crm integration)

With this configuration everything works great. However one of our sales person has a new PC that we can only install vista.

I tried to install the CRM 3.0 CD that I had but it immediately said that it was not compatible with vista.

I then downloaded the CRM3.0 CD from Microsoft that was compatible with the vista client.

When I was installing the client it said that it cannot connect with the server. I know that the server is working because I can access it from IE. I proceed with the instalation and it installs everything else well.

I’ve already installed microsoft CRM update rollup  (2 and 3) on the server and client and still it cannot find the server,

The exact error when I launch Oulook 2007:

“There is a problem communicating with the Microsoft CRM Server. The server might be unavailable.”

    Followed by the following:

An error occurred loading Microsoft CRM Functionality. Try restarting Outlook.

Is there something I’m missing? Do I have to install anything else?

    thanks ins advance
