CRM 2011 Change Email Template Owner RRS feed

  • Is it possible to change the owner of an email template in CRM 2011? Maybe I'm blind, but I can't see anywhere to do that....

    Ideally I'd like to assign the email template to a team.

    Any suggestions?

  • You can create a simple on-demand workflow for the email template entity, and add a step of "Assign Record". You can then assign the email template to a team or user of your choice in the workflow.

    although it's possible to assign an e-mail template to a team (through a workflow) users in this team won't see the template when the try to use this template for an e-mail. In my experience users can only see e-mail templates they own and global templates.

    I've tried it and for me it wasn't possible.
