Groups and switch board functions RRS feed

  • Question

Anyone actually figured out how to make switch board functions?

I would like to make something like this:

Call in, message in native language. If no keys, forward to message in english. Users can press 1 for sales, 2 for administration, etc, etc, 9 for any free operator. Guess it shouldn't be that hard, but I have no telephony experience what so ever Wink

You can do that with the Exchange 2007 Autoattendant capabilities.

  • Got any pointers to docs on this? What I've tried now is to make a new hunt group called "SwitchBoard" with the pilot "SwitchBoard" and an auto attendant called "Company_Switchboard". Both are associated with the default dial plan. I've also assigned the first two numbers of our number series to the AA. Actually, do I even need the extra hunt group?

Anyway, trying to call that number just gives me a default number not in use prompt from our provider, which is the same I used to get on the other numbers before I got OCS set up.
