MSCRM 2011 stop retrieving data RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I need to know if it is possible to configure or to code a way telling the subgrid dont execute the retrieve. Is it possible to block loading records on a subg rid.

  • Can you elaborate more about your requirement?

    If you don't want to show the data, you can hide the subgrid using JavaScript.

  • Hi Balhinio,

    There isn't a way to stop CRM from executing its OOB function.

    Like Linn pointed out you can simple remove the grid from the form or hide it. You can show it based on some particular condition that you might want.

    Another approach is to remove the grid all together and create a custom HTML web resource that looks like a grid. Show it as a empty one (if you insist on showing a empty one), and then based on a particular condition, have a function executed that fetches data using the filter criteria from CRM using REST calls and have them displayed in the HTML page.

  • Or you can inject grid with fetch xml which will not retrive data at all on every load.....but don't think this will be a good idea.
