Where are the media when remote login

Question
-
When I used the web base remote access (https://xxxxxxxx.homeserver.com/Remote/logon?ReturnUrl=%2fremote), I can access the folders with my files for download or upload. However, in the "Media Library", where you can Browse Pictures, Music and Videos, I always see 0 pictures, 0 music and 0 videos.
If I used a DLNA client or a Windows Media Player, I see my libraries and play the media files. What seems to be non working for me is the web https remote interface for the Media Library. Am I missing something?
Thanks
Leo

Here is how I solved that problem:
Start "Windows Media Player" on the home server. Cick on "Manage my libraries". Then I added the server folder/drive where the pictures are located to the "picture library". I did the same for the Video and Music and now they all show up.
Thanks all

Leo, could you please document this issue in a bug on Connect? And include logs from your server collected with the Vail log collector tool (also available on Connect)? Workarounds are fine, but if you don't bug it, Microsoft may not be able to determine if there's a problem or it's user error (which does happen, even to me :) ).
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)- Marked as answer by Jonas Svensson -FST- Friday, May 21, 2010 8:07 PM

It should be there (provided it's the correct file types). What file types are you trying to stream through the internet? Have you tried rebooting the server? If that doesn't work, you should file a bug report on Connect. If I used a DLNA client or a Windows Media Player, I see my libraries and play the media files. Mine go away at times also. After a reboot and a period of time they normally show up.

Strange experience, I have yet to experience this, the only files I see on my media server are the normal avi mp4 ones, it doesnt seem to like the mkv file extension at all.Wednesday, May 19, 2010 7:57 PM

Leo,
From the VAIL Dashboard, General Settings, Media Streaming:
Please make sure you have Media Streaming set to "on" and also included one or more shared folder for streaming?- Theo.
