Trying to add a newly purchased key to my Live ID but it tells me the key is already in use. This was a brand new shrink wrapped copy from Amazon so I think this is unlikely. Apparently I can go no further with the automated support without a key, but it will not let me enter a key. Now what?

If you are certain that the key is being typed correctly and you are not installing to a second PC and using the key with a different LiveID, it is possible that you have a duplicated Product Key, unfortunately. Please contact support to confirm this and find out what your options are if you are unable to exchange your retail copy at the store for another one.
