  • Question

  • I want to add the Task entity to the sitemap but it doesnt seem possible, has anyone managed to do this? I just want tasks, not the other activities or views  for the them.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

For Tasks you need to do this : _root/homepage.aspx?etn=task&type=task&viewid=%7b2B5F5A5D-2D23-4FE7-AA58-E77995368AE7%7d&viewtype=1039

    ( Note the  &type=task  )

Also what entity do you have?

You might want to try activitypointer rather than task.

    Cheers,

    H

  • Hi Pete,

You can do it indirectly through showing the Tasks View in sitemap.

Have a look at the following blog:

    http://blogs.infinite-x.net/2011/04/18/crm-2011-adding-a-view-to-the-sitemap/

Go to your activities and show only tasks (image as per below). Now take the URL and display it in your sitemap.

I hope this helps. If my response answered your question, please mark the response as an answer and also vote as helpful.

  • This seems to work for other entities, but not for tasks. It just takes me to the main Activities view. Any ideas?

  • Hello,

While creating link you need to make sure you are using correct view id, are you sure you are using guid of the task view ?

  • I browsed to [All Tasks] as per above and used the Copy Link function for the current view which gave me the viewid

  • Hi,

Are you getting view selector ?? I think you are getting the same view because of this.

  • I see the view selector but it defaults to the main activities view and not the task only one. reopening IE doesnt make a difference
