How do I remove McAfee RRS feed

  • Question

  • How do I remove McAfee from the "Available Add-ins" List in WHS console? I have it checked to ignore in the warnings area, but it would be nice to see McAfee removed from the available add-in list.

    I looked in the add/remove programs, and since it's not been installed, it's not there.

    Ideas?

  • You can remove the McAfee Addin installer in your Windows Home Server Add-Ins directory:

    * Goto the "Software" server share.
    * Open the "Add-Ins" subdirectory.
    * Remove the McAfee installer package "TopWHSaddin.msi"
      (you might want to save a copy elseware to restore in case you change your mind?)

  • I uninstalled McAfee after they sold me the product (server edition) and since there was a link from the home server.....I did not check compatibility.  McAfee stated they did not support Home Server....so now thinking of AVG

    Comments?

    Can either be installed on home server for real?
    Thank you! Linda

    I can recommend avast! Professional Family Pack!
    It integrates protection for both your Windows Home Server and all its client PC's

  • I have the same issue of trying to remove McAfee. However the "TopWHSaddin.msi" is NOT in the "Software\Add-Ins" folder. What do I do now to remove McAfee?
