Windows 7 and it's certified drivers?

Hello,

I'd like to ask you a few general questions about Windows 7 and certified drivers. As you probably are aware of it that Windows 7 requires drivers to be certified that so they do not cause any problems at installing. It's possible to install uncertified drivers but I want to only install certified drivers.

Now I am interested in how many drivers are certified in Windows 7 itself. I asked them but I never got a decent reply, maybe anyone of you know how Microsoft determines how the drivers are certified and included in Windows 7. Is there any legal percentage of how many drivers are truly Windows 7 certified?
