  • Question

  • I have ruby.exe in my system under C:\windows\system32\ruby.exe.  Security manager indicates to update this program which I never installed.   Is it an essential component of windows operating system to run programs and is it included in Windows 7?

  • Hello, ruby.exe belongs to Ruby Interpreter (Ruby Programming Language). It's not default featured app in Windows instalation. Check programs which you have legally instaled, if some of them is written in Ruby, then they need this file. If not, its possible that it's exe is not wanted on your PC. So for all, do antivirus check on you computer.
