(for alternative to steps 1 and 2: see download link farther down)
1. With a text editor, such as Notepad, create a 4-line file that
contains the content between, but not including, the begin and end lines:=== begin W10_MSM1.reg 4 lines (for W10 64-bit)=====================
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]
"Version"="9.11.10240.0"
========== end W10_MSM1.reg===================begin W10_MM32.REG 4 lines (for W10 32-bit)===================
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]
"Version"="9.11.10240.0"
=======end W10_MM32.REG =======================2. Name or rename the file to W10_MSM1.reg or W10_MM32.REG as appropriate
3. Run that file as Administrator.
Here are download links to files:
-------------- Windows 10 64-bit -----------------------------
UPDATE: I have W10_MSM1.reg available for download at
http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=45505718572033931897
The file should be as described above. It is 137 bytes long.

Cal,
I am still running W7x64, so cannot confirm what I am about to write. But it may be that this Registry Hack only applies to 64-bit versions of Windows 10. For 32-bit versions, I suspect the change should refer to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

It should be as follows:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]
"Version"="9.11.10240.0"The original post has "Version"="9.11.10240.0" in there twice. Taking out the second one and adding it to the registry did the trick for me. Money now loads in Windows 10.

The correct key to change for 32-bit Windows 10 is indeed HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer.
I have confirmed this in a 32-bit Windows 10 version.
In 64-bit Windows 10 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer applies for 64-bit programs and is not relevant for 32-bit Money versions. Changing this key in 64-bit Windows 10 is inadvisable.

Ron, Dominc, Christopher, thanks.
I edited the first post thanks to your alerts, and I provided a link to download the files. The MD5 or SHA-1 can be used to verify that the file is the same.
Incidentally, I run W7 32-bit, and I had an HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node -- even before checking that applying the first reg file I wrote about did not seem to affect anything. But thanks again for posting the right info.- Edited by Cal LearnerModerator Monday, August 3, 2015 6:57 PM thanks

Just downloaded and ran the Windows 10 64-bit solution above and Money works just fine. I don't really understand why but am very happy it does. Thanks a lot.Thursday, August 13, 2015 8:24 PM
