  • Just read this thread (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/reportabug/thread/c66184df-0065-4a45-bc6d-f75369f7411e) when not receiving Alerts. But all is OK. I am not going to create a new account since the account I use is alive and kicking. I receive loads of SPAM :(, but no Alerts. I had this Hotmail account before Microsoft took over. So I do not think it is my Hotmail account but more a forums issue. Also because other people are experiencing the same issue as well. Hope some one wakes up in the US and fixes it.

  • Hi Marnix, i am facing issue with points not getting updates. i am able to receive alert fine. its like today i replied to several post but i haven't receive any update in my profile with points getting updated or any updaet in my "Activity" tab.

But i can see that other users are getting updates in there profile with today date. so i am wondering if the issue is with some users or several users are facing the same problem.

Hence is it us who need to make changes or its the issue with forum side.

Any update will be helpful. thanks.

  • i just checked it and found that in SharePoint forums like Search, Infopath, Admin and Development, lot of users are facing this problem.

In a scenario i found that the user have posted a reply 7 hours ago and in his activity its showing up posted as 47 minutes ago.

I thing this is something someone look at if possible. thanks.

I see now they do get in but ever so slowly...

Takes a minute or five before the amount of answers is raised and another 10 to 15 minutes before the amount of points is raised. (I am now only 4 point away from TWO medals .... :)   )

But still it is not OK.

Just checked. My points are incremented by two (= one answer) while I have answered five questions. So I am still missing 8 points. Alerts do get in though.

You are right now that point of points getting updated slowly, so it may take time to update.

P.S: Congratulation on you medal, its really good to know that you have helped that many users.

  • That I do not know. It was there from the beginning. All I know is that i have 'attached' my account (ID) to that of the company I work for. I think that has to do with it. Thanks for the compliments. :)

Points are still too low. I'll wait and see.
