Multiple Edge server loadbalacing in ocs R2 RRS feed

  • HI All

    kindly help me in this senario as i m deploying mutiple edge servers in ocs r2 with cisco load balancer now how will i nate the IPs. because for the two edge server I need 6 nated Ip ( that means 3 on one server and another 3 on 2nd server) so if i am nating 1 server wt to do the on next server.
    or is it possible i can nat the ips on cisco load balancer.

    Please help on this.

  • With mulitple R2 Edge servers you cannot use NAT for the A/V Conferencing role, so you'll need at least 3 public IP address for the A/V Conf HLB virtual IP and one for each of the physical servers.  The remaining 6 can by configured for NAT.

  • No, you can use multiple Edge servers, but there are IP Addressing limitations to be aware of.  Take a look at this article for a summary of the different Edge site topologies: http://blogs.pointbridge.com/Blogs/schertz_jeff/Pages/Post.aspx?_ID=70
