Is there any time limit for MCSD after MCP

  • I have passed MCP(70-480) exam almost 13 month ago. now I am planing to fight MSCE and MCSD exam but some one told me that you have to clear next two level(MSCE and MCSD) within one year after passing MCP is it true?

  • As far as I know there is no time limit on achieving the higher level certs after achieving MCP.  The only limitation is that you need to obtain the higher cert before the original exam (70-480 in this case) is retired.

    After obtaining an MCSE or MCSD you are now required to take one elective exam every 12 months to maintain the active certification.  But that doesn't apply to getting it to begin with.
