Answered by:
activation key code?

Question
-
I just purchased Windows Live Onecare today. I am unable to complete the installation because of the key code.
On the case their is a sticker with 2 sets of numbers. Onecare is requesting a 12 or 25 digit key code. Neither of these numbers are 12 or 25.
The sticker on the case is so small that 3 of us are trying to figure out what # is what. Thats the only place where I can find numbers.
Impossible to find a phone number on here to phone and get new key code.
What do I do now? Anyone know of a toll free number to call. The help feature is no good because its requesting my key code# which I have no idea what it is.
Thanks Anita

The Activation code is on a card (Orange Sticker) inside the box. The sticker on the outside is a product code to identify the product for sales purposes in a store, not for activation.

If you have the latest packaging, the strange plastic shell that opens by pulling plastic tape to swivel the tray part out of the larger box, the sticker with the code can be found on the reverse side of the CD holder.

thank you for your answer. It worked. Not sure why they would put the code in such hard area to get to. lolFriday, December 5, 2008 6:29 PM

Glad that we could help. The packaging looks nice, but it sure can be confusing!
