  • get a message that I have a reply open and must close it.

This happens to me occasionally.  It happens mostly when trying to reply in a message list thread preview and having a Submit fail.  Then what I must do is clone the thread in its own page and redo my response in there.  Then if I come back to the message list and forget about the problem preview and try to reply in another preview I would see the message and then have to repeat my workaround each time.  It's even more absurd than that though because if I close a problem preview and reopen it I will see the new reply as part of the preview with no sign of an "open" reply.  Nevertheless, it would still cause the message until I either refresh the message list page or go to the next page in the message list.  I don't like refreshing the message list for the page I am working with so I just put up with the inconvenience until I get to the next page.
