CRM 2011 not able to enter product key code from the trial version RRS feed

  • I installed the trial version and then went into production.   I have the key from the volume licensing download but when I enter it says it's not a valid key.   I did upgrade to rollup 11.    Is that the problem?    if so, can I uninstall the rollup?
