too many programs

  Windows 8.1  home pc. Somehow it has SQL servers and .NET features and something Called Visual C++,.  How this crazy amount of updates and programs started. ill never know. Memory problems too.  I'm not an IT person. files are corrupt windows reporting has stopped and a TrustedInstaller is running me ragged. Make it stop.
