cpu uasge RRS feed

  • Question

I am running into an extremely high cpu usage problem.
My whs is (was) running on an Intel celeron.
    Cpu usage was constantly 100%.
So earlier this evening I decided to swap the processor
    with a Core2duo E4400 that I had in my office's pc.
I installed it, boot the machine, and the cpu usage is still 100%.
Well, removed media sharing from the console, still the same.
I have to admit that folder duplication is on, (otherwise there's no point
of using Whs), and I'm also running avast antivirus designed for whs.
Any suggestions, ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, in advance,

  • Hi,
normal use of WHS should not have such an influence on the CPU usage.
Since you check this obviously in task manager (I assume at least), please check in the processes tab of task manager, which process consumes the most CPU time. This should lead to the reason.
