Database mirroring error RRS feed

  • I have two servers DB1 and DB2. My team is configuring mirroring in between these servers, DB1 is a primary server and DB2 is a secondary server. Both of these servers are able to ping each other, however, while setting mirroring I am getting following error.

    • Msg 1418, Level 16, State 1, Line 8
      The server network address "TCP://DB2:5022" cannot be reached or does not exist.
      Check the network address name and that the ports for the local and remote endpoints are operational.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Do you have firewall ports incomming 5022 open in your servers?

    also you could best post this in the SQL Server Forum part.

    The above is generic error message, can you please review the SQL error log and post the error message here....!

    once I get the SQL error info from SQL Log from you, I can comment on it.
