Is it possible to set up a Conference Session? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

According to the SpeechServer documentation (Getting Started->Conceptual Overview->Programming Models) the MicroSoft.SpeechServer Namesspace can be used "For low-level control of core speech services such as creating hosted application containers, creating telephony and conference sessions, manipulating caller information, controlling logging, and controlling recording."

This is the only place I can find conferencing mentioned.  Does anyone have any pointers or know of any examples where I'll be able to find out more information on how to create small-scale conference sessions.

    Thanks for any help.

  • No, the documentation is incorrect. There is no support for conferencing in the Speech Server API. Apologies for the error.

  • Thanks for this.

Does this also mean that it is not possible to have an application listen-in on a conversation between two parties and take control of the original party when the called party disconnects?

    For example:

Party 1 calls into the application and requests a connection to Party 2.

When Party 2 disconnects (Hangs-up) Party 1 can give more instructions to the application.

It may also be desirable for the application to action on certain commands during the conversation?

    Thanks
