      Connecting from a Vista PC to an XP PC, and the taskbar is missing....

      I do not have autohide on, on either PC,  any ideas?

    Sounds like a case for providing logs and opening a bug per the instructions in the sticky notes at the top of the forum. You might want to let them know what video hardware and drivers are in use on the XP box, too.

     Is there a scroll bar on the right hand side? How big is your Vista screen compared to the XP screen? If you connect from a machine that has 1024x768 to a machine that has 1280x1024, then if you show things "full size", you'll have a scroll bar on the right to move the remote screen up and down.

    Yes, it does have a scroll bar, but when scrolled all the way to the bottom, there is no taskbar.

    When I press CTRL-ESC to bring up the start menu, it appears as if there is a taskbar, leaving a small ribbon on the bottom where the taskbar should be.
