    re above subject i cannot install or d/load progs i have tried solutions suggested none work and i cannot d/load windows fixit prog obviosly as the above does not work as stated it comes up" windows service installer cant be accessed.can the installer service be d/loded and reinstalled or what else can i do i"m using windows vista 32 bit operating system with all necessary service packs

    try using advanced system care from iorbit you'll love it you can download it off cnet and it's free I don't pay for any of their programs if that doesnt work then delete windows installer and it will reinstall when you restart computer and see if that works, did you also try using system restore found under assessories-system tools-system restore
