Problem reading Msdn.de-DE.sqlserver via community bridge RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone!

I'm using the community bridge V45. When trying to read messages from Msdn.de-DE.sqlserver I' getting the following error:

    [Client: 1] Received: Response: 9448

GetForumMessagesBriefForNNTP has thrown an excpetion (This item has been deleted), ForumId: 60cc19fd-c34a-4d57-9077-3b741806f9a9, Article#: 1-9615
GetForumMessagesBriefForNNTP (fallback) has thrown an excpetion (This item has been deleted), ForumId: 60cc19fd-c34a-4d57-9077-3b741806f9a9, Article#: 9452-9452

    Can somebody fix this?

    Greetings & TIA
    Thomas

  • Is this stll an issue ? Our engineers seems can't reproduce the problem. Please refer to their reply below.

    • I able to download newsgroups and able to read message from Msdn.de-DE.sqlserverde.

It seems that the web-service hase now changed again, and even my fallback does not work anymore...

Until now, the web-service returned "null" if a message was not found. But it seems that it now throws an exception...

Any hint from MS, how to overcome this problem?

    Greetings

  • If you select "Mark all as read" then new messages should be coming again...

  • Hi Jochen,

I tried it but it doesn't help. I still get the same error.

  • Hi Thomas,

Please find the engineer's reply below and advise if possible. Thanks.

I don’t see any “Msdn.de-DE.sqlserver” but “Msdn.de-DE.sqlserverde” when using NNTP Bridge.

Aren’t those the same forums? Can the user use “Msdn.de-DE.sqlserverde” instead?

  • Hi Jundan!

I've been out of office yesterday so I couldn't respond earlier.

    I just noticed that I made a C&P error: I actually meant Msdn.de-DE.sqlserverde.
    Sorry for the confusion.

    Greetings
    Thomas

Sorry for our confusion, but this doesn't solve the issue right? The issue still exists? (I want to make sure the issue wasn't about the string but it's something bigger.)

    Thanks!

  • Hi Ed!

Correct; the problem isn't my spelling error. The issue still exists.
