Automcatically creating contacts from emails RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I have set up case creation rules on CRM 2016. When an emails comes into a certain address they create a case if not already belonging to an existing case.

    However if a sender does not exist as a contact CRM should create a new contact. The new contact is being created however for some address i.e. noreply@ the address is being populated into the contact name fields. The question is does CRM use the display name from the email address to populate its first and last name fields on contact and if it cannot find those i.e. an automated email response then will it put the email address into the last name.
