Windows 7 Ultimate passing everything showing as genuine

Question
-
My recently purchased Windows 7 Ultimate has passed everything to show that it's genuine but from reading this forum, I am starting to worry that it is not. I bought it from ebay like other posters here and wanted to make sure I had the real thing.

Unfortunately, the product key belongs to a "not-for-resale" MSDN Subscription account. Contact the seller and demand an immediate refund. Sooner or later, that product key will be blocked by Microsoft as being "non-genuine".

Thank you for your quick response! I have opened a paypal dispute with the seller and asked for a full refund. Can I get someone from MS to confirm?Monday, October 18, 2010 3:12 AM

I also sent a message to the seller and just got this laughable response:
Dear __________,
I am sorry for the situation.
The package that you received has genuine cd key from
Microsoft but DVD that was made from other source.
You can verify the key by calling Microsoft for the genuinicity.
If you are not satisfied with the product please return the
package in unused condition and I will refund you in full

Can you believe this?Monday, October 18, 2010 3:16 AM -
The seller is now trying to tell me that the product key is genuine and good for lifetime (their words) even though the product ID and disks aren't. Can anyone please verify this?Monday, October 18, 2010 5:20 AM

The seller is nothing more than a pathological liar, hoping you'll eventually believe his fraudulent statements. Let the eBay seller know you will be reporting this fraudulent transaction to eBay and PayPal.

Thank you David. It's always good to have backup. Does Microsoft in the US or Canada have a piracy program like the one in the UK? Like this one:

There is no free replacement program, but you can still report piracy at the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/reporting/default.aspx
